The turnout for the launch of WightRATs at Dave Death Motorcycles exceeded all expectations with over 70 visitors. The shop was a throng of good humoured Triumph enthusiasts and the place was a hubub of chatter and banter. The demand for a Triumph club must have been just waiting to burst out ! Kevin and the team at Dave Deaths were kept busy serving drinks and food and chatting to customers whilst Pack leader Andrew Welling did his best to get round and say hello to everyone. Members of the County Press kindly attended to record the atmospheric evening and RAT-pack member Bridget Welling was kept busy helping people with their Prize-draw entry tickets, particularly with Brian Green who kept declaring to all around that there was no point in anyone else entering as he was definitely going to win it. It was all rather amusing (if not embarrassing) when his name was plucked out of the bag as first prize winner! (honest it wasn't a fix-up!). He was very pleased with his new Triumph Paddock jacket. Second place went to Ron Gaterell who won a Triumph watch and there were a number of smaller prizes handed out to runners-up. Such an enthusiastic start to WightRATs bodes well for the future.
