A Bob-sleigh would have made more sense than trying to pull away on my SpeedMaster on the back roads near my house - it just wasn't to be. Despite the Arctic temperatures
5 bikes still turned up : Dave, George (who like me also had his rear wheel twitching on the ice as he pulled away from home) and the 'Harwoods boys' (Dave, Mark & Tim). I
turned up in my Peugeot 205 thinking I might still be able to lead and lay-off, but
filtering wasn't really on the cards so I met them at our destination for coffee - the Dairymans - and well worth it was as we all had a lovely time.
